This picture is a Google Earth shot of Chicago on page 54-55 of the October issue of Technology Review Magazine. I see ingenious advertising at work here. Do you?
This moblog will cover mobile marketing, mobile campaigns, and technologies associated with the mobile, through camera phone pics. If you see a mobile marketing campaign you think is postable, take a camera phone pic and email to me. I will post on the blog.

Is that Target there in the middle?
Interesting idea. Sky in the eye billboard satellite advertising via Google Earth. Go from highway billboards to satellite imagery rooftop advertising "billboards."
Isn't that Target Store in the picture?
Even circle crops can't compete with that one.

Just imagine EVERY warehouse rooftop could be a source of advertising revenue.
I'm also thinking parking lots?
Parking lots? Hmm, if they're empty enough to let the ads shine through.
Or perhaps letters big enough that can only be seen from very high above has an ad "Spot this ad and get 1/2 off."
:)

Koko,
I have lots of advertising ideas for this. It's not too complicated, just needs creativity.. that's what pondering does :)
A lot depends on when Google refreshes their data..
That would be 1/2 off for parking lot fee, I mean.

How about ads at night?
How eerie would it be to see yellow neon lights outlining the Happy Face of Walmart's favorite icon?

Good to know Target is making themselves easy to locate if we are ever bombed by an enemy nation... or by a paid air force flying the Wal-Mart flag.
